Description
PREGNECOL™ 6000 is pregnant mares’ serum gonadotropin (PMSG) lyophilized to maintain it’s potency. Each 20 mL vial contains 6000 I.U. of PMSG. When reconstituted according to label directions the final solution contains 300 I.U./mL of PMSG. PREGNECOL™ 6000 Diluent is a 20 mL vial of Sterile Water for Injection USP.
INDICATIONS: To help stimulate follicle development in functional ovaries of cows, ewes and sows. Pregnant mare's serum gonadotropin (PMSG) is predominantly follicle-stimulating; its effects closely resemble those of the follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) of the anterior pituitary.

STORAGE:
Store in the dark at 2° to 8°C (36 to 46°F). Once reconstituted, the solution should be used immediately or within a few hours. Do not retain the unused portion of the vial.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
Administer one (1) injection subcutaneously, intramuscularly or intravenously:
- Cattle 1,000 to 1,250 I.U
- Pigs 750 to 1,250 I.U.
- Sheep 300 to 1,000 I.U.
Directions for Reconstitution:
Use a sterile syringe. Do not use chemical or cold sterilization for syringes. Add 25 mL of the supplied sterile water for injection USP to the vial containing the dry powder to obtain a clear solution containing 200 I.U./mL of PMSG.
CAUTION(S):
In the case of anaphylactic shock, administer epinephrine.
WARNING(S):
Treated animals must not be slaughtered for use in food for at least seven (7) days after the last treatment with this drug.
PACKAGING: 25 mL vial of 5000 I.U. of PMSG with a 25 mL vial of diluent.
